Abstract

Technology within education has gained great value in the last decades, that is why, the objective of this work was to develop a software to the Maturin Special Education Unit, focusing on interactivity to improve learning and teaching, both of the language in signs as bilingual (written-oral) in first-grade students with hearing impairment, with this application the teachers of the institution, will have the facility to rely on technological resources and thus obtain a better attention of the students increasing the levels of formation. The modality of the investigation was feasible project, under the projective type of comprehensive level, made by means of a combination between the Requirements Engineering and the IWEB methodology, belonging to Roger Pressman. To obtain the information, unstructured interviews, documentary review and direct observation were used as techniques. The interactive software developed improves the attention within the hearing impaired students, through the use of multimedia resources, which will form them to be people capable of facing a whole life, and to instruct values for human coexistence. As a result, more time was obtained to use the equipment called Canaimitas in the classroom, besides reducing the time of adaptation of contents to the sign language by the teachers. Likewise, it was generated a high level of acceptance for the integration of technologies to the teaching-learning process by the facilitators, students and representatives.
