Nanotechnology outreach plan in Venezuela

Abstract

Implement the dissemination, promotion, information and training in nanotechnology in Venezuela are the objectives of this National Plan for the Disclosure of Nanotechnology, based on the use of social networks to bring together university students and the educational population, with the creation of the RedVnano Disclosure Network. in nanosciences and nanotechnology through Facebook, Zoom, Instangran, Telegram, Whassap, MySpaceTwitter, Google Plus, Blogger. 1. Creation of RedVnano.EstULA associated with Facebook (846 members), MySpace and Twitter (590 members), a Blogger redvnanoestula.blogspot.com (950 visits) and 
the design of a website, radio programs, software - games and videos conferences. 2. Creation of an Itinerant Chair What is nanotechnology?, 15 talks were held on nanotechnology and its applications with the participation of 4 international guests, 3 video conferences and 8 national guests, with an attendance of 603 students, 3. Creation of a Workshop on Nano
technology for new university students (attendance 210 students),  4. Participation in 8 National Congresses, 3 International,  5. Creation of a Workshop on  what is the Nanoworld? for the Liceos of the State of Mérida, 13 workshops have been given to 256 students. This project and experience shows that by articulating the use of social networks, face-to-face conversations and video conferences, the creation of basic nanotechnology workshops with work groups of university students, it is possible for more people to take ownership of the scientific and technological concepts of the century.
