Call for Papers - Special Edition
CALL FOR PAPERS - SPECIAL EDITION - 2024
The journal “Observador del Conocimiento” is a quarterly, serial, refereed and indexed publication belonging to the National Observatory of Science, Technology and Innovation (Oncti), which condenses knowledge of scientific, technological and innovation interest, created by experts in the field.
In this effort, we have the opportunity to show original works in the form of articles, essays and reviews, with the purpose of sharing and contrasting the validated results of research with the scientific community, to incorporate them as a bibliographic resource available to those interested in the different topics discussed, thus contributing to the Social Management of Knowledge for the Comprehensive Development of the Nation. On this occasion we invite you to participate in the Special Edition on Seismology of the “Observador del Conocimiento” dedicated to seismological studies, whose objective is to open a space for dialogue, knowledge and reflection on this topic in the magazine, considering that, in this field, seismology means the science of the shaking of the earth or the science of earthquakes. For the magazine, it is important to focus on this topic as a result of the lack of knowledge that society has about this phenomenon and, on the other hand, to provide a space for disseminating research that, due to its scientific nature, there are very few magazines where the seismological information that our Venezuelan researchers build day by day in the interest of updating topics on this phenomenon, "earthquakes" can proliferate.
The thematic coverage for the Special Edition Seismology covers the three main lines of research developed by the Venezuelan Foundation for Seismological Research (Funvisis) and a shared theme for Oncti, as an observatory of the country's scientific production, these are:
- Seismic threat.
- Seismic vulnerability of buildings.
- Social seismic vulnerability.
- Bibliometric studies on research on Seismology in Venezuela.
Likewise, those investigations that relate seismological studies as an object of study will be considered.
