High blood pressure is a public health problem with high morbidity and mortality, associated with risk factors. This research aims to determine the situation of hypertension, obesity and risk factors in screening attendees. A descriptive, analytical and cross-sectional study was carried out on 253 people of both sexes with an average age of 40.6 years, attending screenings carried out at the Clinical Pharmacology Unit, Faculty of Pharmacy, Central University of Venezuela (UCV), between April and May. 2011.
