Evaluation of The Contamination Caused by Heavy Metals in Agricultural Soils from the State Anzoátegui, Venezuela
Keywords:
Environmental quality, soil quality, extractable contents, maximum permissible valuesAbstract
Environmental contamination caused by potentially toxic chemical agents is currently an interest and leads to concern for the evaluation of soil quality. However, studies on soil quality tend not to include the concentration of heavy metals. The objective of this work was to evaluate the environmental contamination based on the extractable content of Cu, Fe, Mn, Zn, Ni, Cd and Pb (method of Mehlich 1), at 0-20 cm depth, in 18 samples of randomly selected soils in the Soil Laboratory of INIA Anzoátegui, from 18 agricultural production units of the Miranda Municipality, of Anzoátegui state.
