Abstract

In the present investigation, we focus on revealing theoretical elements of a Zahorí peasant through technique, reality as a source of theory and the ATLAS. ti system. The research is positioned from the constructivist paradigm under the qualitative approach, assuming idealism as Ontological posture, articulated to the phenomenological method, supported by hermeneutics. Approaching the meaning and intersubjective interpretation of a significant subject related to this work. The research is being carried out in the Dos Montes community, of the Urdaneta municipality, Urdaneta Parish of the Aragua State, Venezuela. For this, we use participant observation as techniques; the in-depth interview and; the documentary review The analysis and legitimization of the knowledge of the significant subject was carried out under the techniques, reality as a source of theory of Hermoso (2001), for this, we use the recorder, field notes, and the ATLAS.ti system Win version 7.1 as instruments . Of the three interviews carried out, the dimensions of hybridized knowledge and protected knowledge, which make up the category of peasant knowledge, are reported as progress in the findings. These dimensions, considered theoretical elements were contrasted with postulates of different authors, thus applying qualitative triangulation. The particularity of the instruments used by the significant subject is revealed, since to date we have not obtained a history of people who practice this art with the instruments used by it. Therefore we would be in the presence of an innovation in this field.
