The university social responsibility

Abstract

The society demands of the universities transfer of knowledge as contribution to the solution of the problems that
afflict them in order to obtain quality of life, what is called university social responsibility that expresses itself as
human development in conditions of social equity, that by activating it in society it is demonstrated as human development in conditions of social equity. The primary impact of human development is evidenced through values, competences and training throughout life. It is essential to consider a new flexible university, concatenated with its social environment. Education under these parameters helps individuals to achieve
human development for a productive life according to their own needs, it is about having social welfare. It is a tool
of empowerment and empowerment of individuals within a social framework. The purpose of this article is to analyze the social responsibility of the 21st century university in light of the new ret. they must face in a globalized, dynamic and conflictive world. The analysis was carried out through the hermeneutic method for the analysis of content, reports, legal documents and other texts on university social responsibility, human development and knowledge management. Among the most important conclusions of this study are: university social responsibility allows the university to meet again with society and with the most vulnerable people in society, favors the commitment that has with society, the university to intervene helps to condition to a just society.
