The Rm La Grita, affluent of the no Zulia, belongs to the Hydrographic System of the Rm Catatumbo. This basin is a source of water for the inhabitants and has a high agricultural development, where chemical products and fertilizers are applied, which are transported, by runoff, to the bodies of water producing pollution in them. In this investigation the parameters were evaluated: flow, turbidity, total phosphorus, total nitrogen, total dissolved solids, oils and fats, hydrocarbons, BOD5, COD and total and fecal coliforms, in 25 stations located in the Rio La Grita, durameters total phosphorus, oils and
fats, BOD5 and COD, showed signiring three samplings (October 2011, April 2012 and October 2012), in the rainy season. The average values were: flow: 11.61 m3 / sec, turbidity: 0.38 NTU, total phosphorus: 0.48mg / L, total nitrogen: 2.37mg / L, oils and fats: 15.35mg / l; hydrocarbons: 4.79mg / L; BOD5: 2.54 mg / L; COD: 25.71mg / L; SDT: 200.82 mg / L; total and fecal coliforms: 83,517 and 65,908 NMP / 100 mL, respectively. For the parameters: flow, total and fecal coliforms, significant differences were found between samplings, basins and sectors. Statistically, the turbidity parameter showed significant differences between samplings and between basins. The paficant differences between samples; On the other hand, the parameters total nitrogen and total dissolved solids showed differences between sectors. It was observed that the climatolo
gical changes in the basin affected the concentrations of the parameters evaluated. The results indicate that the Rio La Grita presents inorganic and bacteriological contamination.
