Education in Latin America and the Caribbean has undergone a profound and important transformation process as part of the search for self-determined and independent forms of development in the context of their sovereignty and independence, which has led to a new understanding of training, its social and personal importance, as well as its specific role in the educational praxis in schools, universities and learning and teaching processes and in general. It should not be overlooked that the nations that make up this great continental region still face considerable socio-economic, technical and political problems that directly and indirectly influence the necessary changes in education and training in the formal and informal fields. Likewise, it is necessary to establish a clear distinction between the specific neoliberal socio-economic orientations that have influenced the conformation of a highly dependent, oppressive and conservative educational conception, whose emphasis is on privatization of all areas of life and the state, contrary to those who wish to achieve an inclusive, liberating, equitable and egalitarian socio-political model. The latter has been
promoted historically by leftist governments as well as by alternative political and socio-economic conceptions opposed to theM predatory and destructive capitalist system of humanity. Many of the basic aspects of education in our continent, presented in this research work, show some concrete results of the processes of educational change, based on the analysis of the reality of the for mative praxis.
